These pictures are from a vacation trip which Susan and I took in early June 2008. The main event was a 5-day trail ride in and around Utah's Capitol Reef National Park, conducted by the fine folks at Hondoo Rivers & Trails. It was a wonderful riding and primitive camping experience, highly recommended.
Before the trail ride we drove from Salt Lake City to Hondoo's home base in the small town of Torrey, UT. We spent time there before and after the trail ride. If you're near Torrey, do not fail to have dinner at the Cafe Diablo; repeatedly, if the opportunity arises.
"Heaven is high and earth wide. If you ride three feet higher above the ground than other men, you will know what that means."
